+ Do You Do Piercings?

No, we do not offer any piercing services at Faith Tattoo.

+ How Much Will My Tattoo Cost?

The price of your tattoo will depend on the size of the piece, the amount of detail involved in the artwork, and the amount of time the appointment will take. Every tattoo artist will have their own pricing and will give you a quote for the tattoo during a consultation where you can provide examples and details of what you want to get.

+ How Long Should I Leave My Bandage on After Getting a Tattoo?

Your artist will advise you on how long to leave your bandage on but it should remain wrapped for at least 2 hours after your tattoo appointment. Different tattoos will benefit from leaving the bandage on longer, but you will need to remove it to wash the tattoo within 24 hours no matter what. Once you have removed the bandage you should never re-bandage your tattoo.

+ How Often Should I Clean My New Tattoo

After removing your bandage you will want to rinse your tattoo with lukewarm water and gently wash it with mild, scent-free soap until all the plasma, blood, and fluid buildup are removed. Let the skin air dry, and apply a thin layer of scent-free ointment to the entire area. You will want to repeat this process once or twice a day for a week. After the first week, you will switch to a fragrance-free, oil-free lotion and continue to wash your new tattoo at least once a day. Always use freshly washed hands to gently cleanses the surface of your skin. Never use a washcloth or loofah sponge to wash your new tattoo, as these products can harbor harmful bacteria, and be too abrasive on your healing skin.

+ What Soap Should I Use to Clean My New Tattoo?

Follow your artist's recommendation on what soap you should use, but you generally can use any mild, fragrance-free soap to wash your new tattoo. Soap brands like Dove or Dial are great options for cleaning a new tatoo and can be found in almost any grocery store for cheap.

+ What Ointment Should I Use on My New Tattoo?

+ What Are Things I Should Avoid While My Tattoo is Healing?

As your tattoo is healing, it will get itchy, scabby, and flaky, but you should never pick, itch, or scratch at it. It is best to avoid any water activities for at least the first 2 weeks and never submerge a new tattoo in ANY water - no baths, no hot tubs, no swimming pools, no lakes, no rivers, etc. Keep your new tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least 4 weeks.

+ How Long Will it Take for My Tattoo to Fully Heal?

The healing process after getting a tattoo can vary for everyone, but with proper care, most tattoos will fully heal within 4 - 6 weeks.

+ What Are the Signs of a Tattoo Infection?

The signs and symptoms of a minor tattoo infection include: slight pain, redness, swelling, or heat around the area. Contact your artist immediately if you experience any of these symptoms. The signs and symptoms of more severe tattoo infection include: fever or elevated body temperature, pus coming out of the area, red streaks coming out from the area; and severe pain. Seek professional medical attention IMMEDIATELY if you experience any of these symptoms after getting tattooed.
